Importing a backed-up Registry file.
If you have a backup file of the registry, you may want to restore if you made a mistake or had another problem. To restore (import) a backed-up Registry file:
* Locate your backed-up Registry file.
* Double-click on it to open it.
* Once you are in the Registry Editor again, from the Registry menu click Import Registry file.
* Locate your backup file and click Open.
* Locate your backed-up Registry file.
* Double-click on it to open it.
* Once you are in the Registry Editor again, from the Registry menu click Import Registry file.
* Locate your backup file and click Open.
