Having Windows NT 4.0 automatically refresh your screen.
If you make changes to a file or folder, you usually have to press F5 to refresh to be able to see the changes. You can make Windows NT 4.0 automatically refresh your screen after making any changes. Before continuing, please make sure to have a backup of the registry.
* Click the button.
* Click
* In the open field, type regedit and click OK.
* Once you are in the Registry Editor, navigate your way through the following folders:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\
Control\Update
* Once you are there, double-click the UpdateMode icon and change its value to anything between
1 and 7.4.
* Click OK and restart Windows.
* Click the button.
* Click
* In the open field, type regedit and click OK.
